Carmona Trails Mountain Bike Park Antigua Guatemala

Located just outside the charming colonial city of Antigua Guatemala, Carmona Trails Bike Park has become the premier destination for shuttle serviced mountain biking on sculped trails. Located in an 18th century coffee farm the park has several cross country loops and 8 fast, flowy downhill trails which average around 500m (1,500ft) of descent.

Nestled in the foothills of the surrounding volcanoes, the park offers a variety of trails that cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced bikers.

The trails wind through lush forests, rugged terrain, and scenic vistas, providing panoramic views of Antigua and its iconic volcanoes—Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Riders can enjoy a mix of singletrack, technical descents, and steep climbs, all while surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the Guatemalan highlands.

Our favorite go to trails in Carmona Bike Park

Black Mamba

This is our go-to warmup loop—no shuttle, just legs, lungs, and a smooth ramp-up into the day. From basecamp, spin up via Green Bean and let the trail unwind into a final sequence of fast berms and the rocky, serpentine rhythm of Rocky Roller Coaster. It’s quick, punchy, and lets you settle into the terrain before tackling the bigger lines.

CAFFEINE FIX

For this one we hitch a ride into the cool cloud-forest above Cerro Cucurucho. The descent is Carmona at its friendliest: a long, flowing trail with mellow doubles, wide-angle views over the valley, and a roller-coaster run of whoops before dropping into steep coffee groves. It’s smooth, scenic, and the kind of trail that makes everyone grin at the bottom.
